Jonathan D. Holland has been serving families in funeral service since late 2006. Born and raised in Union County, he has been fortunate enough to meet and get to know many people in the area.
At the age of 5, he began helping his father with wedding photography and met many people through that experience over the years. A graduate of Forest Hills High School, Jonathan continued his education at Fayetteville Technical College and obtained a degree in Funeral Service.
From an early age, he knew that he wanted to be in the funeral industry and began to work for Gordon Funeral Service immediately following high school and did so until the time that Holland Funeral Service & Crematory was founded.
He is a member of the Monroe Kiwanis Club and Wingate Lions Club. Jonathan is an ordained deacon and attends Centerview Baptist Church.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jana Knight Holland, and together, they have two daughters, Olivia and Emma, and six dogs. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and hunting.
Jonathan feels that it is an honor to care for the families that we serve.


Garrett D. Holland was born and raised in Union County, North Carolina. A graduate of Forest Hills High School, Garrett continued his education at Fayetteville Technical College and obtained a degree in Funeral Service.
Garrett is married to the former McKenzie Conner, and they have three dogs: Jax, Ella, and Shadow. Garrett is a member of Lee Park Church. In his off time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Garrett is honored to be serving Union County.


Jana Knight Holland is a lifelong resident of Union County and a graduate of Forest Hills High School. She continued her education at UNCC and obtained a B.A in Criminal Justice.
Jana is married to her high school sweetheart, Jonathan Holland, and together, they have two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Emma Holland.
Jana is a member of Centerview Baptist Church and loves singing in the choir. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and crafting.
Jana is honored to be able to serve the families of her community.


McKenzie Jacumin Holland is a resident of Union County and currently resides in Wingate with her husband, Garrett Holland.
After graduating high school, she continued her education at Wingate University and obtained a B.S. in Psychology.
McKenzie is a member of Lee Park Church. In her off time, she loves spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
McKenzie is honored to be serving Union County.


Rachelle Kessinger is proud to be a licensed funeral director and embalmer at Holland Funeral Service & Crematory.
After graduating from Parkwood High School, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where she obtained a degree in Mortuary Science from John A. Gupton College. Rachelle served her internship with West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville before returning home to North Carolina.
Rachelle is passionate about the funeral profession and is grateful for the opportunity to provide meaningful options and services to families in her community.


Dan Popoff, a North Carolina Funeral Service Licensee, graduated in 1996 from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Dan has been a resident of the greater Charlotte area since relocating from Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1996. Dan is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army.
Dan holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in death and dying and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing with an emphasis in instruction.
Dan is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (CFSP), adhering to the highest ethical standards of the funeral profession.
He serves as an adjunct in the English Departments at Wingate University and South Piedmont Community College.
Dan is proud to be part of the Holland family and serve this great community.
