Wolfgang Gregorius, 69 years young, gave a smile and one tear before leaving behind a life marked by quiet intelligence, loud music, steady hands, and a deep love for the people and passions that shaped him.
Wolfgang was a man who built things—both with his mind and his hands. Over the course of his career in computer programming, he approached problems with patience and precision, always seeking to understand how things worked and how they could work better. Long before and even after his programming career, his time at Food Lion reflected his humility and strong work ethic; no task was beneath him, and he took pride in doing every job well.
Outside of work, Wolfgang found peace in woodworking, where he transformed simple materials into lasting creations. Each project reflected his care, attention to detail, and quiet creativity. He didn’t just make things— he left behind pieces of himself in everything he built.
He was also a lover of movies, especially science fiction. Stories like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars weren’t just entertainment to him— they were invitations to imagine, to question, and to dream. He had a sharp mind and a natural curiosity, and he brought that perspective into conversations, often offering thoughtful insights and a gentle sense of humor.
Those who knew Wolfgang will remember a man who didn’t need to be loud to be deeply felt. He showed his love through consistency, through effort, and through the time he gave to others. Whether he was fixing something, building something, or simply sitting and watching a film or show, he brought a steady presence that made people feel grounded and cared for.
His life reminds us that meaning is often found in loud music and in the quiet moments—in creating, learning, loving, and simply being there for the people who matter most.
He will be deeply missed, but the things he built, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave will remain.
In his honor, take the time to build something, learn something new, or watch a story that makes you wonder—and think of him.
He is preceded in death by father Hans Gregorius, mother Hildegard Hiefer Gregorius, uncle Udo Feuster, and nephew Anthony Gregorius. He is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa Greene Gregorius, of 48 years whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life, and his daughter Jessica Gregorius, who carries forward his curiosity, strength, and thoughtful spirit. He is also survived by his aunt Marianne Feuster, younger brother Bernard Gregorius and younger sister Kathleen Gregorius Caldwell (Husband Wayne), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
