William "Bill" Wayne Anderson, born May 23, 1954 passed away April 27, 2018. He was born in Elgin, IL, the oldest child of Barbara (Erickson) Anderson of East Longmeadow, MA, and the late George Anderson. He graduated from Longmeadow High School in Longmeadow, MA, class of '72. He was a member of Bright Spot Baptist Church in Monroe, NC and loved to serve the Lord through music and ministry. He was also a fan of sports, card games, music, and humor. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kathleen Linda (Godbout Merchant) Anderson, her 7 children (Rachael Defossess and her fiancee Kenneth McCracken of Perry Hall, MD, Theresa Lee and her husband Robert Lee of Springfield, MA, C. Douglas Merchant and his wife Judy, of Jericho, VT, Heidi Isaac and her husband Christopher of Monroe, NC, Donald Merchant and wife Karen of Indian Trail, NC, Thomas Merchant of Monroe, NC and Kevin Merchant with his wife Dinah of Indian Land, SC). He is also survived by his mother Barbara Anderson, his 3 sisters Laura Hebert (widow of Thomas Herbert), of Enfield, CT, Lynn Gibby and her husband Burton of Longmeadow, MA and Carol Lenski and her husband Michael of East Hartland, CT, and his sister-in-law Carrie Anderson of Longmeadow, MA. He was predeceased by his Father George Anderson, his brother Robert Anderson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relations. There will be memorial service, in his honor and memory, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Bright Spot Baptist Church at 1407 Lockhart St, Monroe, NC 28112.
