Ms. Wanda Sanders (Carol) Dickinson, daughter of the late Virginia Christine Sanders and James Roderick Sanders, passed away on May 11th, 2019 at 4:35 AM at Atrium-Union Hospital. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Lily Christine Sanders and Melanie Erica Dickinson. Wanda attended and graduated Forest Hills High School in Marshville class of 1974. She ended up working for 6 years at the Union County Community Shelter before retiring. Her beautiful mind and soul will be remembered and celebrated today at Trinity Baptist Church, at 6:30 PM on May 23rd, 2019 with a short memorial service and candlelight vigil. Friends and family who knew her knew she was full of life and light. Her shine reached everyone she talked to, and she sure loved to talk to people. Her precious soul will be incredibly missed by those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association as Wanda passionately supported the End Alzheimer's movement.
