Tyrone (Ty) Marion Kimrey, 76, of Marshville, NC, was received in the arms of Jesus on July 14, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1949, to the late John Kimrey and Marion (Chivers) Kimrey. 

Ty adored his wife, Jackie(Boone), of 56 years. Along with his wife Jackie, survivors include daughter, Amy Oster (Clinton Oster) of Marshville, NC, son, Scott Kimrey, of Parrish FL, brother, John Kimrey Jr of Kannapolis NC, and sister Susan Bennett of Kannapolis NC.

Ty is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily Oster of Carrollton, TX, Matthew Oster of Marshville, NC, Andrew Oster of Marshville, NC, Cody Kimrey of Monroe, NC, and several nieces and nephews. 

Ty is preceded in passing by his brother, Lance Kimrey.

Ty served our nation for 20 years in the Air National Guard. He was employed by Windstream Communications in Marshville, NC for over 30 years. Ty was an active member of the American Legion of Wingate, NC. He enjoyed  spending time in his garden and was well known in the community for his vegetables. Ty loved his church family of Lanes Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed always helping and serving any way he could. 

The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Ty to a visitation on Sunday, July 19th from 2:00pm -2:45pm with a memorial service immediately following at Lanes Creek Baptist Church located at 118 Marshville Waterplant Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. A graveside service will follow at Austin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery located at Austin Grove Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103.
