Tammy Michelle
Herman
Apr 15, 1972 — Aug 23, 2026
Tammy Michelle Herman, 54, of Monroe, ran into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 23, 2026. She came into this world on Saturday, April 15, 1972, born to Mickey and Evelyn Ennis.
Tammy was a light in our world. She loved all things shiny and sparkly, but nothing ever shined as radiant as she did. She loved her family more than anything else. Her boys were her greatest pride and joy; her grandchildren were her most treasured reward. Her mother and sisters were her very best friends. Tammy surely served her family well and loved them beyond measure. When her children were young, she adored being a stay-at-home mom and taking care of her family. When they went off to school, she could not stand it and decided she would go with them. She learned to drive a school bus and happily worked in the cafeteria and school office to be close to her children. After they were both out of Elementary school she served as an insurance agent for 15 years with JC Demo and First Charter. She loved weekend trips to the beach in the summer and mountains in the winter. More than anything, she loved family gatherings and being surrounded by those she held most dear. Her hugs were the absolute best, and we will forever miss her.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Emmet Mills and Parks and Mildred Cuthbertson, Boyd and Ruby Ennis as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those left to treasure her memory are her two sons, Tyler Herman and wife Jessica and Justin Herman. Her Grandchildren Emersyn and Stetson Herman. Her mother, Evelyn Ennis and Father, Mickey Ennis. Her sisters Emily Wilson (Kevin) and Kristy Hope (Zane). Her nieces and nephews: Alana (Austin), Kyle, Peyton, Alex, and Alyssa, her great nephew, Kolter as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor the life and legacy that Tammy leaves behind on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 PM at Holland Funeral Service & Crematory in Monroe, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112.
