Susan Renee Sherman, born on September 22, 1963 passed away at home on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unconditional love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born and raised in Maryland to Lois and Stan Doucette, Susan grew up in a close-knit family alongside her younger brother, Bobby Doucette. She loved music, theater, reading, and spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains and at the beach.

Steven and Susan were wed on June 20th 1987 and not long after they welcomed two children into the world, Steven Gregg Sherman II and Christina Renee Sherman. Susan was a devoted mother who always made sure her children knew how deeply they were loved. Whether through games, books, music, family outings, or simply spending time together, she created a lifetime of cherished memories.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Riley Renee Masse, Koraline Jean Masse, and Steven Gregg Sherman III. Her grandchildren were her world, and she surrounded them with endless love, comfort, and encouragement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Stan, and her beloved brother, Bobby.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Gregg Sherman ; her children, Steven Gregg Sherman II (Jacquiline Sherman) and Christina Renee Sherman (Kris Masse); her cherished grandchildren, Riley Renee Masse, Koraline Jean Masse, and Steven Gregg Sherman III; and many family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Though she is no longer with us, Susan’s love and the memories she created will remain in our hearts forever.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00pm until 2:45pm.
