IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steve Anderson
Little
March 7, 1947 – January 1, 2026
Steve Anderson Little, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of his community, passed from this world on January 1, 2026. Born on March 7, 1947, Steve lived a life rich with kindness, laughter, and unwavering commitment to his family and faith, leaving behind a legacy that will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Austin Grove Baptist Church, 5919 Austin Grove Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. Mr. Little will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Military Honors immediately following the service.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00pm until 1:45pm.
Married to his beloved wife, Betty, on March 22, 1975, Steve shared over four decades of love filled with laughter, joy, and shared moments that promised to stand the test of time. As a proud father to James "Jamie" Little (Terri), Steve "Andy" Anderson Little II (Jenn), and Amanda Griffin (Craig), he embraced fatherhood with open arms, providing a home nurtured by a strong sense of humor and deep familial bonds. The joy of being a grandfather to David Rydman, Sydney Bryenton, James "Jay" Wilson Little II (Kaylee), Parker Griffin, and Kinley Griffin filled his days with vibrant love, as he reveled in every playful moment and milestone.
A graduate of Forest Hills High School in 1965, Steve's journey through life was marked by service and devotion. His military service in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970 fostered in him a profound commitment to his community, which he displayed as a lifelong member of the Austin Grove Baptist Church. There, he found purpose as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Sunday School Superintendent, enriching the spiritual lives of those around him. His contributions extended beyond the walls of the church, as he volunteered with the Second Harvest Food Bank and took on handyman work for anyone in need, crafting handicap ramps and lending a helping hand wherever it was required.
Steve’s personality was nothing short of magnetic; he was a jokester with a good sense of humor, never a stranger to anyone he encountered. His warmth and friendly demeanor invited others to feel at home, and his laughter could light up even the gloomiest of days. He loved the thrill of riding motorcycles and the simple pleasures of dining at BBQ spots and fish houses. These moments expressed his belief in living life to the fullest, surrounded by the people and experiences he loved.
Additionally, Steve is survived by siblings Larry Little and Joe Little (Marty), who will carry forward his memory alongside all the family and friends whose lives he touched. His parents, Jason Little and Mae Haigler Little, and sister, Deene Davis, await him in eternal peace, united once more.
