Sherman Andrew Hubbard, 75, of Monroe passed away on July 14, 2020, at home. He was born July 11, 1945, in Charlotte. He was a devoted son to the late Reid Andrew (R.A.) Hubbard and Mary Witherspoon (Hubbard) Miller.
He spent the majority of his years working in industries spanning from grocery to sales. He began his career working at and managing A&P Grocery. He served his country in Vietnam. He was co-owner of Village Markets in Charlotte. An intelligent entrepreneur, he began selling car-care products at shows around the east coast. In the early 90's, he began selling CD players on the weekends, and this hobby evolved into owning and operating S&L Car Stereo in Monroe for more than two decades.
He was a loving father, a wonderful grandfather, a wise mentor and an adored friend. Sherman was known for his fondness of American Classic Cars, and was an avid participant in automotive fairs, Threshers' Reunions, and cruise-ins. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed motorcycling, billiards, fishing, spending time with family, and had a talent for reviving the beauty of forgotten vintage collectibles.
He is survived by his daughters Brittany Hubbard and Kimberly Hubbard, and grandson, Silas Andrew Hubbard. Leslie Bennett is the mother of his two children.
