Shelley Dawn Newhouse, 66 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 08, 2026. Born in Frankfurt Germany on May 19, 1960, to the late Chester and Mary Carter.

Shelley had the biggest heart, loved hard, and was a mother to everyone who knew her. Known as Momma Dukes to most, she carried a warmth that made people feel safe and loved. She loved the Wizard of Oz and never missed a chance to listen to Stevie Nicks or Kid Rock. She will truly be missed.

In addition to her parents, Shelley is preceded in passing by her brother Mike Powell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Charles Newhouse, daughters, Courtney Myers (Troy) and Mary Davis, grandchildren, Trinity, Kaleb, and Scarlett, and great grandchildren, Mateo.
