Shari Shawnell Ray was born on May 7, 1975 in Fayetteville,NC to the late Johnny Lee Ray and left to mourn, her mother Lois Britton McKinney (Morris). Shari attended Cumberland County Schools. Shari loved helping people. She would give you the shirt off of her back. She was known for her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit. She loved creating crafts and learning how to sew. She loved to cook and feed everyone. She was employed by Windsor Windows in Monroe, NC. On Friday, January 25, 2019 the Lord looked down and saw his child in distress. He called her name, she answered and went to sleep until the Lord shall wake her for her eternal home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her mother, Lois Britton McKinney (Morris); her brothers, Jermaine Ray, Geiovanny Britton, Caleb McKinney, Kenyatta Snipes, Edward Furlow, Demarcus Davis; her sisters, Jenessa McKinney, Marissa McKinney and LaShawn McKinney; several nieces, nephews, great neices and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Lee Ray. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
