Selma Ann Winchester DeViney, 67 years of age, of Mineral Springs, was called home to be with The Lord on June 13, 2016, peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.� Ms. DeViney was born on November 23, 1948 to the late Plato A. and Eileen M. Winchester. The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Holland Funeral Service. A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 2220 Billy Howie Rd. Waxhaw, NC 28173. Rev. Marilyn Wooten will be officiating. Ms. DeViney is survived by her daughter Beth Ann Thomas (Justin) of Marshville, brothers; Jerry Winchester (Jerrie Lynn) of Mineral Springs, Jimmy Winchester (Nellie) of Mineral Springs, grandchildren Dylan Thomas, Austin Thomas, Trevor Thomas, and a dear family friend; Shannon Jamison. In addition to her parents Ms. DeViney was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn "Jean" Carter. Selma was a spunky, fun-loving, kind soul.� She was loved by many, who will miss her dearly.
