Ruth Ann (McCall) Reece

September 17, 1944 – September 20, 2026

Ruth Ann (McCall) Reece, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, in Indian Trail, North Carolina, at the age of 82.

Ruth was born on September 17, 1944, in Akron, Ohio, to Ralph and Texie McCall. She will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her kindness to others, and most importantly, her faith in Jesus Christ. Her life reflected the goodness and faithfulness of God and the hope of eternal life through Him.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Reece; her parents, Ralph and Texie McCall; her brother, Butch McCall; and her sisters, Norma McPheeran and Nancy Huddleston.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Reece (Kathy Reece) and Michael Reece (Monica Reece); grandchildren, Eddie Reece (Jesse Reece), Carrie Reece, Taylor Reece (Daniel McGinn), and Walker Reece (Arianna Reece); great-grandchildren, Ella Reece and Jaxon Reece; and her sister, June Davidson.

Ruth’s greatest legacy was the love she poured into her family and the faith she carried throughout her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at home with her Lord and reunited with those who went before her.

As Scripture reminds us, “To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8

Until they meet again, her loved ones will carry her memory in their hearts and hold firmly to the hope she placed in Jesus.
