Dr. Ronald Gene Horton,72, of Pageland, SC, passed away September 15, 2019. Gene was born in Gastonia, NC on August 16, 1947 to the late Clarence and Myriel Godfrey Horton. Gene was a Chiropractor and served the Chesterfield County community for 47 years he was very dedicated to his patients and his practice. Gene believed in a positive outlook on life and helping others. He liked to spend time with his family at the beach, mountains and anytime that he was able. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the South Pointe Fellowship Gymnasium in Pageland, SC. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held following the service beginning at 6:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Rita Scoggins Horton; daughters, Lillian Marie Astalos (David), Jennifer H. Anderson (Dennis); grandchildren, Kaitlin Grace Astalos, John Clay Astalos, Christine Paige Anderson, and Dennis Lee Anderson II; and brother, Steve Horton (Susan); Holland Funeral Service and Crematory is caring for the Horton family.
