Robert "Bobby" Carl Robinson, 68, formerly of Waxhaw passed away August 31, 2019. Robert was born on December 9, 1950 to the late Fred and Ruby Robinson. Robert proudly served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. In the early years he volunteered for the Waxhaw Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue. Like his father he loved working with wood and spent many hours building beautiful pieces for the people he cared for and
retired while working at Monroe Wood Designs. Robert was a jack of all trades who knew a little of everything and would graciously give his time and knowledge to anyone in need. He will be remembered as a quiet man who was a caring, wise and loving husband and father.
Those left to cherish his memory are, Phyllis Griffin Robinson (Wife) of Monroe, NC; Rodney Robinson (Son) and wife Kelly of Monroe, NC; Leigh Robinson (Daughter) of Monroe, NC; Robert Briar Peninger (Grandson) of Monroe, NC; Tori King (Granddaughter) and husband Kelly of Ranier, Oregon, Mikala Robinson (Granddaughter) of Monroe NC, Riley Robinson (Grandson) of Monroe, NC, Alex Thomas (Grandson) was and wife Joanny of Charlotte, NC; Buddy Robinson (Brother) and wife Joline of Waxhaw ,NC;Annette Sullivan (Sister) and husband Jimmy of Monroe, NC; Multiple nieces and nephews. Special Pets-- Angel, LuLu, and Annie Bell.
In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Baker.
A private memorial to honor him will be held at a later date.
