Richard Leeland Reese, 74, passed away on October 10, 2019. Richard was born on November 25, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, NC, to the late Lawrence Reese and Gertrude Stowe. Richard served our Country proudly as a Marine Semper Fi and was a Vietnam Veteran. Richard proudly served and fought on the front lines in the Vietnam War. A service to celebrate his life will be held on October 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM at VFW Post 2423 at 100 VFW Lane, Indian Trail, NC. 28079. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM. Burial will take place after the service at the Memorial Park behind the VFW with a 3 Round Volley in honor of Richard's service to our Country. Richard is survived by, Patricia (Trish) Gunn his Life Partner; daughters, Anjanette Gill of Gastonia, NC, and Heather Mullis of Monroe, NC; stepdaughter, Kimberly Noggle; adopted stepson, Jeffrey Moree of Waxhaw, NC, and adopted stepdaughter Shaunta Wright of Pageland, SC; niece, Jean Cannon of Bessemer City, NC; nephew, Robert Simpson of Myrtle Beach, SC; 7 grandchildren, Angel, Brittany, Tyler, Rachel, Jonathon, Hunter, Ethan; and 1 great grandchild, Avianna.
