Richard Lee Estep, 78, of Monroe, NC passed away on March 7, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Richard was born March 23, 1940 in Freeburn, Kentucky to the late Mack and Ethel Estep. He had a passion for traveling, gospel singing, hymns and was a member of Living Praise Christian Ministries in Monroe, North Carolina. Richard served in the United States Army. Richard is survived by his wife Betty, son Randy (Jessie) Estep; daughters Janice Estep, Bridgette Love, Angie Estep, Suzanne (Joshua) Paschal; sisters Marvetta Stevens and Deborah Compton. Richard also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Mack and Ethel Estep; daughter Elaina Dawn Estep; brother Arthur Estep; sister Clara McGrainer and grandchildren Rita and Stephen Cochran. A memorial service with military honors will be held at Living Praise Christian Ministries in Monroe, North Carolina on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 1:00pm.
