Raymond Joseph LaCombe Sr. of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away April 15th, 2026 at the age of 83. He was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on December 23rd, 1942 to Horace Felix LaCombe & Yvonne Dalpe LaCombe. Ray was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. 

He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960 and served for 4 years. He was employed at Engelhard Industries for over 16 years and served as a Union Steward. He enjoyed cooking, and opened his own small business with his wife in 1995 where they sold sandwiches and snacks. He was always a lover of sports; he coached little league baseball in his late 30s and early 40s, and also enjoyed bowling and golf. He frequently watched football too, of course, and was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. Ray took time to appreciate yard work and lawn care, and mowed the straightest lines you’d ever seen. He became a true game show enthusiast in his recent years, getting those prices right…most of the time. Above anything else, he deeply loved spending time with his family. 

Raymond was predeceased by both of his parents, Horace Felix LaCombe & Yvonne Dalpe LaCombe. 

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Ruthanne LaCombe; eldest son Raymond LaCombe Jr. and his wife Christa LaCombe; youngest son Michael LaCombe and his wife Cheryl LaCombe; grandchildren Kayla LaCombe and her husband Dillon Helms, Christopher LaCombe and his fiancée Cassidy Nash, Zachary LaCombe and his fiancée Erika Matos, Alexandra Rice and her husband Erik Rice; great grandchild CJ LaCombe; younger sister Mary Corcoran and her husband James Corcoran;younger brother Walter LaCombe and his wife Susan LaCombe.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 4PM, Wednesday, April 22nd, at Holland Funeral Service -806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
