Raven Massey, born April 30, 1993, departed this life on April 4, 2026. Though her time here was brief, her presence was powerful, unforgettable, and deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Raven was known for her bold personality and her unmistakably dark sense of humor. She had a way of finding laughter even in difficult moments, often saying the things others were thinking but wouldn’t dare to say. Her humor was sharp, real, and uniquely hers—it brought comfort, lightened heavy hearts, and created memories that her loved ones will carry forever. 

Above all, Raven was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Prince James Massey, who was the center of her world. Her love for him was fierce, unconditional, and evident in everything she did. He was her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment. She also shared a special bond with Zach, Sunti, Aubrey, Jakoda, her birthday twin, Taliea and Nyomi, whom Raven lovingly called her “butt girl,” a nickname that reflected their playful connection and the love she had for her. 

Raven shared a strong and loving bond with her siblings— sisters, Megan, Brittany, and Ebony, Christie, Lakeisha, and her brother, Allen. As well as A host of nieces and nephews. Together they created a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, and an unbreakable connection that will continue beyond this life. 

She also shared an extraordinary bond with her cousin Tay, who was more like her big sister in every sense of the word. Their connection was deep, genuine, and filled with love that stood the test of any and every adversity. 

Raven’s presence was one that could not be ignored. She loved hard, spoke her truth, and lived life in her own way. Those who knew her will remember her strength, her authenticity, and the way she made people feel—whether through laughter, honesty, or simply being herself. 

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, her family, and all who were touched by her life. Though she is no longer here in body, her spirit will forever live on in the stories, laughter, and love she leaves behind. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate Raven’s life and honor the beautiful soul she was. Raven Massey will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on May 2, 2026 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
