Rachael Elizabeth Wood, of Seattle, Washington, passed away in her mother's home on Tuesday afternoon. She leaves behind her father, George; mother, Kelly, and three brothers, Michael, Christopher, and Brian. Rachael was born at Wright-Patterson AFB, on December 26, 1990 and grew up in Florida until she realized a lifelong dream to move to Seattle. She was a kind, loving spirit and was devoted to helping others throughout her life. She loved Jesus and served as a missionary to Mexico and China, as well as providing ongoing care and food to homeless communities throughout Florida and Seattle. She was a light and a joy to everyone she touched. Her kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Rachael loved being in nature and with animals, spending her free time in the mountains, forests, and rivers. She supported conservation efforts to help preserve the beauty of those environments for everyone to enjoy. We will deeply miss our "Sunflower" as she was affectionately nicknamed. The family will plan Celebration of Life services for her friends and family in Florida and Seattle at a later date due to the current COVID pandemic.
