Pratt William Mullis, 81, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2026. He was born January 2, 1945 to the late Pratt Wilson Mullis and Ruby Ellen Mullis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2613 Concord Highway, Monroe NC 28110. Pastor Dac Croasmun will be officiating. Mr. Mullis will be laid to rest at Family Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00am until 10:45am.
He will be remembered for his loving and kind personality. Pratt was a gentle soul who loved his family and friends deeply. Pratt was a man of great strength who persevered through any challenge life threw at him. He also had an infectious sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Pratt also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to golf, fish, and go hunting. As a hard worker, he owned and operator his own business, “Alarm Equipment” for 40 years and worked with the New Salem Fire Department for over 30 years.
Pratt met the love of his life, Brenda, and the two were married on June 19, 1966. Together they had two children, Amanda and Aaron. Pratt was a family man who cherished every moment he was able to spend with them. Pratt and Brenda attended many churches over the years, but most recently, they were faithful members of Trinity Baptist Church. Additionally, Pratt would take every opportunity to be involved in the lives of his children. He even took the time to coach little league baseball. Pratt will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Pratt is preceded in passing by his brothers, Gabriel Mullis, Layne Mullis and Wayne Mullis; and son-in-law, Danny Abbuhl.
Pratt is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Mullis; his children, Amanda Abbuhl, and Aaron Mullis (Dena); brother, Ray Mullis, grandchildren, Landon Abbuhl (Rebekah), Hannah Pena (Kevin), Kasey Josey (Judge), Andrew Abbuhl (Debora), Benjamin Abbuhl, Rheya Taylor (Austin), and Coleman Mullis; great-grandchildren, Dove Abbuhl, Lincoln Abbuhl, Allie Pena, and Zander Pena.
