In Loving Memory
Paul Wayne Earp
February 14, 1947 - October 14, 2026
Paul Wayne Earp, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Earp will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00pm until 12:45pm.
Paul was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a heart of gold, a happy spirit, and a genuine love for life. Paul enjoyed making memories with those around him and had a way of bringing happiness to others simply by being himself.
Above all else, Paul loved his family. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren play softball and baseball. He was always the first one to arrive at the ballfield, ready to cheer them on. It didn't matter how many games he had already watched; he was always excited for the next one. Those days spent at the ballfield, surrounded by the people he loved most, were some of his happiest moments. His family could always count on him to be there, cheering from the sidelines and supporting them every step of the way.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Harold Earp; his brother, Bobby Earp; and his son, Kenneth Earp.
He is survived by his son, Mike Earp; his daughter, Kim Griffin (Chris); his grandchildren, Hailey Donahue (Zach), Cody Earp, Riley, Oakley, and Haven Griffin; and his great-grandchildren, Zayne and Paisley Donahue and Levi and Colten Earp.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help others, his love for life, and most importantly, the love he had for his family. He leaves behind countless memories, a lifetime of laughter, and a family who will miss him more than words can express.
While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how much he loved us and how blessed we were to have him in our lives. His seat at the ballfield may now be empty, but his love and the memories he gave us will remain forever.
Holland Funeral Service is serving the Earp family.
