Nina Mae Harvey Simpson, 71, passed away September 26, 2019. Nina was born in Stanly County, NC to the late Del Harvey and Mary Hinson Shepherd. Nina loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nina was a very strong woman who was a very caring and loving mother. Nina loved gardening, animals, her friends, family, and her church family at East Campus Baptist Church of Marshville. Nina also loved her fur babies, dogs, Imagene and Co-Co; and cats Valerie and Whitey. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 12,2019, in the East Campus of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail in Marshville. Nina is survived by her daughter, Lisa Kimmer; sister in-law, Darlene Lowder (Chuck); nephews, Johnny Lowery, Gerald Lowery, Chip Lowder, and Joseph Lowder. In addition to her parents Nina was preceded in death by her first husband, James Kimmer (2016); her second husband, Alvin Simpson (2013) and her brother, Zenas Harvey. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be to Hospice of Union County. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is caring for the Simpson family.
