Nicole Jolene Byrum, 44, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, formerly of Yorkville, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2026.
Nicole was the beloved daughter of the late Jackie Green of Marshville, North Carolina, and the late Joseph Dombo Jr. of Yorkville, Ohio.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Jasmine Byrum (Brandon Helms) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Jocelyn Byrum of Rock Hill, South Carolina; her son, Jayden Byrum (Erica Cervantes) of Charlotte, North Carolina; her sisters, Roxanne Dombo (Doug Fletcher) of Flushing, Ohio, and Roxann Tharp, widow of the late Jim Tharp; her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Massey, widower of the late Tammy Massey, of Marshville, North Carolina; her cherished grandson, Karsyn, Kariel; her granddaughters, Lilianna and Nova; her nieces, Megan Summers of Flushing, Ohio, Mallory Morrow of Yorkville, Ohio, Shemita Massey of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Geneva Massey of Marshville, North Carolina; her nephews, Matthew Summers of Adena, Ohio, and Joseph Morrow of Flushing, Ohio; four great-nieces, Isabella, Ka’Lani, KaMille, and Serenity; five great-nephews, Wyatt, Weston, Ka’Liel, Ki’Yan, and Noah; as well as many loving cousins.
Nicole is also survived by her aunts, Sharon Purr, widow of the late Dick Purr, of Martins Ferry, Ohio; Pat Wick, widow of the late Gary Wick, of Rayland, Ohio; Betty Jo Dombo (Jeff Granger) of Florida; and her uncle, Dave Dombo (Debbie Dombo) of Monroe, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Elsie Green and Joe and Betty Dombo; her aunt, Teresa Dombo; and her uncles, Sam Green and Danny Green.
Born and raised between Yorkville, Ohio, and Monroe, North Carolina, Nicole lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Nicole was also a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints and could always be counted on to cheer them on with enthusiasm.
Nicole will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, kind heart, and caring spirit touched countless lives. Though she is no longer with us, her love and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 10:00am until 11:30am on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
