Sophia Heldt, 13, of Indian Trail, passed away suddenly on January 1st, 2023. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on February 5th, 2009 to Daniel and Fiona Heldt.

Sophia overcame many obstacles in her short life with humor and stubbornness. She loved music and had a great appreciation for nature. She loved people and they in turn loved her. She will be remembered forever.

Sophia was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Patricia Heldt, and Peter and Agnes Flynn. She is survived by her loving parents, Daniel and Fiona; and her older brother, Cian.

There will be visitation from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday, January 8th at Holland Funeral Home in Monroe. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9th at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Mint Hill with viewing at 12:00PM followed by her Funeral Mass at 1:00PM. Mass will be live-streamed on the church's YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/@saintlukeminthill4058
