Shirley Rose Clontz, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 27, 2023. She was born November 11, 1933 to the late Robert Clay Dozier and Sallie Pope Dozier. Shirley loved the beach and especially cherished being a volunteer with the Pleasure Island Sea Turtle Project. Shirley was also an honorary member of the Island of Lights at Carolina Beach. In addition to so many different things, she also showed her love to her family by sewing quilts for each of them.

Services will be held from the graveside at 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Sheryl Anderson and husband, Bob; her son, Ron Clontz and wife, Teresa; numerous grandchildren, great-granchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice of Wilmington, North Carolina.
