Ms. Phyllis Mackey, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1951 to the late Billy C. Helms and Ethel Hilton Helms.

Ms. Mackey lovingly referred to as Meemaw or Nana, embodied grace, strength and love. She was the corner stone of our family and a source of unwavering support. Her presence will be deeply missed but her memories will forever live on in our hearts and minds.

Ms. Mackey is survived by her children, Travis Staton (Misty), Monica Starnes (Larry), Daniel Mackey (Brittany), and Laura Butler (Chris), grandchildren, Nathan McEwan, Madison Starnes, Cameron Staton, Caleb Staton, Connor Staton, Riker Butler, Rylee Butler, Kinsley Butler, and Luke Mackey, great grandchildren, Paizleigh, Braylon, Zoie, Aiden, Brinley, Mayleigh, and August.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Mackey is preceded in passing by her sister, Linda Presson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 12:00pm at Lakeland Memorial Park located at 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30pm at Holland Funeral Service located at 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
