After a heroic battle with cancer, Nicole "Nikki" Jean Kurtz Helms passed away on September 16th, 2022 at the young age of 48 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children; daughter, Jessica Helms; and sons, Timothy and Nicholas Helms, his spouse Amber, and her grandchild, Claire. As well as, her sister and husband, Colette and Ken Martin; nephew, Austin Martin, and niece, Makenzie Martin. She was born in Queens, New York to Frank and Debbie Kurtz. She lived majority of her life close to her beloved family in Waxhaw, North Carolina.

Nicole loved to love on people. She wanted everyone to be happy. She loved to sing and dance and give gifts. She spent the last decade working at CVS Pharmacy. She loved her coworkers dearly and spread joy to every customer who came in. She was a light in this world.
