With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, Natalie Sophia Velasco Perez, on October 16, 2022. Natalie passed away at 8 years old after battling SMARD since birth. She was a very happy, sassy girl who loved playing music, balloons, unicorns, going to school, and watching tv. Her favorite show was "Blippi." Natalie enjoyed being read to, playing ball and doing arts and crafts in school. She was just starting 2nd grade at Western Union Elementary and loved participating in music and art class. Natalie was a ray of sunshine; she had a sparkling personality and was a joy to our family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. She had a big smile and always made your day better.

She leaves behind her father, Gilberto Velasco; and mother, Magdalena Perez; and brother, Sebastian.

We want to invite everyone who knew and loved Natalie to come and celebrate her life this Friday, October 21, 2022 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The celebration of life will be held from 12:00pm until 10:00pm  There will be a memorial mass held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 5:00pm at Holland Funeral Service.
