Nancy Ruth Duffy, 79, went to her heavenly home on August 24, 2022. She was born December 10, 1942, to the late Michael J. Caveny and Ruth Helmer Caveny. Nancy was originally from Syracuse, New York and was a communicant of St. Matthew's Parish. She was a woman who loved her family. For the last twenty years she lived with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Nancy cherished every moment she was able to spend with her family and was always the first one in line at the car-rider line to pick up her grandchildren from school. When she wasn't spending time with her family, she could be found cooking something delicious in the kitchen or tending to her herb garden. Nancy will truly be missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends immediately following the conclusion of the service. Nancy is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Edward J. Duffy. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Colleen Atri and husband, Ali Atri; son, Brian Duffy; granddaughter, Ailish Atri; and grandson, Kian Atri.
