Ms. Mary Elizabeth Deason Autrey, 83, passed away July 20, 2022. Ms. Autrey was born on October 11, 1938 to the late William Boyce Deason and Jessie Jenkins Deason. A visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Life Center. The service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Sanctuary. Ms. Autrey will be laid to rest following the service in the church cemetery. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Beth Atkinson (Jerry); grandchildren, Mary Katherine Atkinson, Michael Atkinson, Courtney Suggs, Allison Suggs; and great-grandchild, Journey Suggs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in passing by her husband, Marvin Autrey; son, Melvin Autrey; daughter, Ginger Autrey Suggs; brothers, William Boyce Deason II, and Reece Deason. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church, 5709 Philadelphia Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103, or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
