Martha Kathryn Nance was born August 28, 1951, to the late Ralph Mason Nance and Ethel Virginia Nance. Martha Passed away June 2, 2025.

Martha graduated from Monroe High School class of 1969. She furthered her education attending East Carolina University, where she completed 3 years before transferring to Oklahoma State University. She achieved a Bachelor of Science in home economics from Oklahoma State University in 1975. She briefly attended LSU before earning her master's degree at Winthrop College in 1985. She became a registered Dietician in 1992 from Winthrop College.

Martha loved gardening, planting flowers, vegetables "A green thumb, she had it", she loved gardening. She loved to travel, listen to music, she would say "music was healing to the soul". She loved animals, especially cats, and birds, she contributed to the humane society along with being an advocate for spraying and neutering.

Preceded in Death, her parents Ralph Mason Nance and Ethel Virginia Nance. Sister-in-law Mary Ann Nance.

She leaves to cherish her brother Mason Nance of Concord and sister Robin Nance(Carl) of Monroe NC.
