Marlene was born Marlene Bess Stone To the late Newitt Wesley Stone and Laverne Libby Stone of Charlotte NC. July 21,1958. She passed away on August 19th 2021. Marlene lived her short 63 years in the Charlotte Metro area for most of her life and made the quaint town of Waxhaw her final home living close to her son and family. Her selflessness and dedication to her family was endearing and extraordinary. Marlene will always be remembered as a happy fun-loving free-spirited soul. She attended Providence Baptist Church regularly. Her passion in life was spreading her Christian faith with everyone she came in contact with. By saying "Have a Blessed Day" Marlene made many people smile and feel better with her words of blessing. Her brilliant work ethics opened the door for many opportunities. She worked for Mitchell's Tuxedos in Management, Charlotte Mecklenburg Tax Assessor's office, Charlotte Truck Driving School Management, Charlotte Coliseum Stagehand setting up concerts, Just to name a few. She opened Lady Marlene's Pub and Pool Room September 1979 sharing her love of the game of pool with others.. She was the daughter of the late Libby Stone Of Libby Stone Modeling and Finishing School and Stone Talent Agency where Marlene shined as a model in her younger years. Left to cherish her memory, son William Wesley Rogers and wife Alicia Rogers of Waxhaw NC, four grandchildren Darren, Nathaniel, Jada, and Katlynn. Her two sisters Cassandra Stone of Charlotte NC, Kathryn Stone Byrd and husband Donald Byrd of Myrtle Beach SC, extended family Diane, Denise, and David Libby. Olivia and Lilly Thrift. Rest In Peace Marlene. We are waiting to be reunited again. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on at 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Providence Church, 3606 Providence Rd S, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00pm until 6:00pm prior to the service. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Randleman Family.
