Our Mother, Marilyn Kimberly Starnes, entered into rest, with no more pain or suffering on January 7th, 2023 at the young age of 63. Momma was born on October 30th, 1959 in Union County, NC, to the late Henry Pressley and Sandra Kay Nance.

Kim worked with Harris Teeter for a little over 20 years where she met many friends. Anyone who knew her, knew she was one of the hardest working women, sometimes holding two or three jobs. She worked until she couldn't and missed it every day thereafter.

In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by a sister, Wendy Pressley Sellers. To carry on her memory, she leaves behind three daughters, Becky Starnes (Dexter Barbour), Beth Jones (Shane), and Megan Maske (Adam); three sisters, Ronnie Sims (Randy), Terry Wood, and Brandi Gomez (Joaquin); thirteen grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Aalyiah, Dexton, Trustin, Kassidy, William, Taylor, Walker, Chandler, Isaac, Cheyenne, and Jackson; five great-grandchildren, Sienna, Aleena, Nova, Grace, and Audrey; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her four beloved fur babies, Nellie Mae, Pup, Brownie, and Big Boy.

Kim had a love for kids and animals that was unexplainable. So, we ask that in lieu of flowers, all donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a Humane Society of your choice in her memory.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Ms. Starnes will be held Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Holland Funeral Service & Crematory from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Winston Witmore Memorial Chapel.
