Ms. Marilyn Kilgo, daughter of the late Ollie and Emily Kilgo, was born June 19, 1966 in Union County, North Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Mt. Calvary A.M.E Zion Church, 800 Lasalle St, Monroe, NC 28110. A public viewing will be held from 11:00am until 7:00p, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Marilyn was a graduate of Monroe High School. She attended Black's Memorial Presbyterian Church in Monroe, NC. Ms. Kilgo was a wonderful mother and grandmother to all her children and grandchildren. Marilyn was truly down-to-earth. She was the kind of person that believed in tell it like it was; not putting on a front for anyone. Because if you truly knew her, that was not her style. She leaves behind to cherish her fond and loving memories, her husband, Ernest Bivens; children, Brandon Kilgo and Lovanne Kilgo; grandchild, Harmony Windchester; brother, Willie Kilgo and his wife, Nikia; sister, Natisha McCarver and her husband, Anthony; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Toni Kilgo. Holland Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
