Kathleen Sue Sholes, 75, of Monroe, NC, passed away October 14, 2023. She was born in Portsmouth, VA in the Naval Hospital on January 18, 1948, to the late Jack Mullinax and Margaret Mullinax. Kathleen loved to read and work in her garden. She also loved taking trips to the beach and looking at the lighthouses. Kathleen was a hard worker. Before moving to North Carolina, Kathleen worked as an event planner at Burger King in Miami Florida. She also worked as a security guard for several years at the Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, NC as well as an executive assistant at Bojangles.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Rudy Sholes, and sister, Linda Norman.

She is survived by her daughter, Maggie sholes of Monroe, grandchildren, Brooklynn Sholes, Quintin Logel, Desmond Logel and Mya Logel all of Monroe; sister Jackie Mullinax of Indian Trail, brother, Bill Mullinax, and sister-in-law Linda Mullinax Summerfield, niece, Michelle Mullinax, nephew, Jonathan Mullinax and his wife Maelynn Mullinax; and great niece, Libby Mullinax

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family during their time of bereavement.
