IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ms. Julia
Hillard
December 25, 1934 – July 24, 2023
Julia Mae Hillard, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 24, 23 at the age of 89. She was born on December 25, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio to Frank and Bertha Willis. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bug" Hillard, and her sister, Wonida Crommie.
Julia is survived by her loving daughter, Dolly Marie DeBord, and her son, Roy Hipsher, and his wife, Ann. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even had the joy of meeting her great-great-grandchildren.
Julia touched many lives during her time on Earth. After a fulfilling career, she retired from A&G Pizza, where she not only enjoyed working but also cherished the opportunity to socialize with the customers. Although she was short in stature, her spirit was mighty.
Known for her fierce love and unyielding determination, Julia was a force to be reckoned with. She possessed an incredible ability to argue passionately, yet always with respect and affection. She had a heart filled with love, but also a touch of mischievousness. Her favorite things in the world were Elvis and Christmas, and she found ways to combine them both. Her home was adorned with Elvis-themed ornaments and even featured a Graceland Christmas Village.
Julia had a unique passion for soap operas, talking about the characters as if they were her own friends. She found solace in playing endless games of solitaire, tapping her nails on the cards in a familiar rhythm that echoed throughout the room. Her spunky personality, combined with her love and kindness, left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A memorial service for Julia Mae Hillard is not yet scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary donations be made to assist with covering the costs. If you feel moved to contribute, please contact a family member at vicash15@gmail.com.
As we say our final goodbyes to Julia, let us remember her for the laughter she brought, the love she shared, and the memories she created. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
