Julia C. Griffith of Waxhaw, formerly of Beckley, WV, passed away April 4, 2022. She was born September 12, 1930, to the late Rock and Katherine Cheek. A graveside service will be held in Beckley, WV at a later date. She was preceded in passing by her husband, James "Jim" Griffith; son, James Russell Griffith; daughter, Mary Ann Griffith Snuffer; and brothers, Toney, James, and Ed Cheek. Julia worshiped at Calloway Heights Baptist Church before moving to North Carolina and joining Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Griffith of Beckley, WV; daughter, Lesa Griffith Mueller and husband, Craig of Waxhaw, NC; grandchildren, Alesa Van Ewing (Maurice), Patrick Snuffer, Kaitlyn Snuffer, Conrad Mueller (Cait), and Heidi Mueller; great-grandchildren, Michael, and Baylor Ewing; sister, Wilda Byrge of Beckley, WV; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; and her loving dog, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Julia's honor to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Griffith Family.
