Grace Newell Belk, 87, passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021 and is joyfully in the presence of the Lord. She was born on February 28, 1933 and is survived by her sons, Maurice Lee Belk Jr., Richard Daryl Belk, Jeffery Lang Belk, Eric Lydell Belk; and her daughters, Cherney Belk McConomy and Alisha Belk Tate. Grace is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Grace was the last surviving sibling of Wilma Irene and William Ernest Newell of Waxhaw, and is preceded in death by 4 sisters, 2 brothers and her husband, Maurice Lee Belk Sr. Grace was a Godly woman who lived her faith daily and shared it with all around her. Grace, first and foremost, loved her family and demonstrated God's love without fail. Heaven is richer today for her presence.
