Eleanor Williams Thomas went to be with the Lord April
12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Hoyle
Williams, her mother, Velma Cook, and stepfather, Ralph
"Dusty" Cook, and grandson, Adam Beachum.
Funeral services will be held from the graveside at
11:00am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Marshville City
Cemetery. The family will gather at the home of Darlene
and Darrel at the conclusion of the service. Please contact
the family for the address to the gathering.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roy
Thomas; four daughter, Denise Hathcock (Robert),
Debbie Horne (Tim), Darlene Beachum (Darrel), and Angie
Boyd (Ken); grandchildren, Kris Hathcock, Misty Horne
Beachum (Clay Barrett), Dusty Horne (Lindsey), Megan
Horne Perkins (Tony), Alexis Beachum Leasure (Patrick),
Austin Beachum (Gabby), Ava Beachum, Jonathan
Williams, Jamethen Williams, Danielle Boyd, Justin Boyd, and Hannah Beachum;
and 17 great-grandchildren.
Our beloved wife and mother went to be with the Lord.
Eleanor was a hard worker and wonderful wife, mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked
several years at Yale & Townes before becoming a
chicken and turkey grower. She worked at Dunlap
Plastics before she started working as a Mary-Kay
representative. Following her career with Mary-Kay she
was a devoted worker and national sales delegate
representative with Woodman Life. She loved to be
around people.
Eleanor's family rest easy knowing that she is up in
heaven in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
to Hospice of Union County.
