Doris Ann McClain Rape went home to be with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her loving husband on February 26, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Her family always came first. If you were her friend you were her friend for life. Doris lived a full life without regrets and only became sweeter through the years.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 6907 Gus Eubanks Road, Monroe, NC 28112. Ms. Rape will be laid to rest at the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Johnny Rape, parents, Joe Paul McClain and Betty Hood McClain; and brothers, Gary McClain, and Mike McClain.

Doris leaves to cherish her memories her children, Cindy Moore (Ted), and Ray Rape; grandchildren, Matt Moore (Natalie), Blake Brooks, Lindsay Rape (Tiffany), Jessica Rape, Sarah Rape (Malachi), Belle Rape, and Emma Rape; great-grandchildren, Mason Moore, Easton Moore, Trinity Taylor, Emersyn Rape, Avery Pressley, Daxton Brooks, Navey Brooks, Haven Brooks, and Montana Brooks; sisters, Betty Jo Howie, Paula Worley (Tim), Pam Helms (Jackie); brother, David McClain (Rhonda); daughter-in-law, Lorri Rape; sister-in-law, Dody McClain; brother-in-laws, Billy Borders and Wayne Rape (Bonnie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

With a broken heart and tears in my eyes, we look to the heavens for a glimpse of hope in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
