After obtaining an associates degree from High Point College, Claudette began her career as a secretary. She served as the secretary to the superintendent of the Richmond County Public School System for several years before relocating to Monroe, NC. Her career as a secretary continued in Monroe where she worked as a legal secretary for several law firms. Claudette had a strong love for the Lord, her family, and the church. She was a faithful member of Oakland Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed every Sunday she was able to attend the Sunday school worship services and especially loved singing in the OBC choir; she even served as the pianist and organist on occasion. She also loved helping with the vacation bible school and the Awana Club. Strong in her faith, Claudette never missed a moment to share her love for Jesus and made sure others knew Jesus too. Claudette will be truly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
