Ms. Christi Anthony Phillips, 41, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2020. Christi was born in Lincolnton, NC on April 3, 1979 to Rev. Caroll and Sherrie Conner Anthony. Christi spent her life in service to God and others. She was an active member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where she led a ladies Bible study group and was a featured speaker at many other churches and ladies retreats through the years. Christi was a social worker at various non-profits including Turning Point and The House of Pearls. Prior to becoming disabled two years ago, she worked as a Child Advocate for Union County DSS. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those who would like to come by and pay their respects and or leave a card for the family can do so from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Family Life Center. At the request of the family the service to celebrate Christi's life will be private.
Those left to cherish Christi's memory are her sons, Ryan Phillips (Meredith Younger), Devin Phillips; parents, Rev. Caroll and Sherrie Anthony; sister, Karen Parker (Larry Smith); maternal grandfather, Max Conner; paternal grandmother, Helen Anthony; nieces, Emma Parker, and Morgan Smith; nephew, Andrew Parker; special friend, Joe Wilson; and a large loving extended family and friends from all over the world.
Christi was preceded in passing by her daughter, Kaylen Phillips; maternal grandmother, Peggy Conner; and paternal grandfather, Robert Anthony.
