Brenda M. Austin, 74, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022. Brenda was a loving mother, granny, and friend and she never met a stranger. Brenda and her late husband, Donnie, owned and operated D&B Cafe in Marshville and worked at the Wagon Wheel for many years before eventually retiring from Walmart. She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Lanes Creek Church, 118 Marshville Waterplant Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. Ms. Austin will be laid to rest at the Marshville City Cemetery immediately following the conclusion of the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

Brenda was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Donnie Max Austin; her parents, James Bennett Griffin, and Geneva Stegall Griffin; and brother, James Heath Griffin.

Those left to cherish her memories include her two children, Dawn Sistar (Rick), and Joey Austin; three grandchildren, Chris Oakes (Samantha), Johnathan Sistar, and Ava Austin; two step-grandchildren, Richard Langston, and Christina Langston (Harrison); six great-grandchildren, Autumn Oakes, Anna Wolfe, Olivia Oakes, Mason Langston, Coleston Langston, and Cheyenne Langston; and special friend, Larry Phifer.
