Bonnie Dabbs Simerson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born November 15, 1939 to the late William Eugene Dabbs and Nettie Bass Dabbs. Bonnie was a Godly woman who loved her family and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She loved going to the beach with her late husband, Richard, and with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at a later date.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in passing by her husband, Richard Simerson, brothers, Gene Dabbs, Harvey Dabbs, and Van Dabbs; sisters, Mary Foster, and Libby Dabbs; and son-in-law, Richard Compton.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Sandra Compton, and Pam Kelley (Mike); son, Chris Patrick (Carla), grandchildren, Frank, Brad, Michael, Brandon, Courtney, Sarah, Jill, Lacie, and Summer; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Nora, Nathan, Natalie, Ella, Hunter, Austin, Jax, Brantley, Bella, and Mason; siblings, Clinton Dabbs, Patricia Johnson, and Gayle Burton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Rd STE 250, Charlotte, NC 28209 or to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Union, 700 W Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
