Betty Jane Greene went to her forever home Friday morning, May 3, 2024. She was born on January 17, 1946, to the late Clegg and Agnes Griffin. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Greene, Dink Griffin, and Brenda Gordon

Janet is survived by her three children, daughter, Tammy Knight (Ken), son, Jaime Greene, and son, Jeff Greene. Four grandchildren, Ashlyn Greene, Joseph Smith, Brandon Smith, and Zachary Knight. Three great grandchildren, Riley Smith, Raylin Smith, and Liam Smith.  Two sisters Pat Ferguson, and Carolyn Surrett.

She graduated from Piedmont High School. After graduation she went into the Army where she was stationed in Okinawa as a Colonel's Secretary. After her service was completed, she became a textile worker where she retired. Janet loved her family and did all she could to be the best Mom that anyone could ask for. She loved the lord and lived life to the fullest.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00am at Antioch Baptist Church 6223 Love Mill Rd. Monroe NC 28110. The Family will receive friends at 10:30am at the church prior to the service.
