Bessie Mae Gordon, 82, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born July 3, 1938, to the late Jim Hargett and Mary Baucom Hargett. Bessie is also preceded in death by her husband, Adam Gordon; son, David Gordon; daughter, Joyce Stinette; and brother, Robert Green. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Union United Methodist Church, 6315 New Town Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, June 18, 2021, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Gray (Adam), and Nancy Totherow; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Gordon; sisters, Sarah McKinney, Ruby Griffin, Betty Griffin, Patsy Lipe, Connie Simpson, and Frances Hargett; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; a host a nieces and nephews; and many other special friends and family.
