Barbara Ann Smith, 72, of Monroe, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born in Union County on May 13, 1952, a daughter to the late James Tracy Smith and Elizabeth Cox Boatright. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Griffin Hobbs and a brother, James Riley Smith.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the Winston Chapel of Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Frankie Sistar (Crystal), Richard Eugene Sistar (Penny), grandchildren, Andrew, Jamie, Johnathan, Hailey, Cody, Jessica Sistar, one great-grandchild, Onyx Sistar, three brothers, Tracy Hoyle Smith, Rodney Boatright (Jackie). Randy Boatright.
