Ann Helms, 76, of Locust, NC passed away Monday, February 19th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Ann was born in Union County on April 9th, 1947 to Grady T. and Agnes Jackson Helms.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her son Bill Mullis of Stanfield, siblings Aleene Smith of Silverpoint, TN, Edith Hicks of Moncks Corner, SC, Jack Jeffrey Helms of Homerville, GA and Randy Helms of Wingate. She was also preceded in death by her faithful and loving dog, Jasper.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Stack (Travis) of Matthews, granddaughters Brittany Beatty of Locust, and Kennedy Kissel (Mike) of Stanfield and their father Scott Beatty, siblings Marilyn Purser of Monroe, Theron Helms (Jean) of Zebulon, Jack Helms (Judy) of New London, Dawn Strawn (Raymond) of Peachland, along with many other cherished family and friends.

Ann loved spending time with her family, cooking, searching for shells on the beach, and gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble, where she was a fierce competitor who showed no mercy.

A memorial service will be held at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church in Stanfield, NC on Saturday, February 24th at 11am. The family invites you to join them for a reception luncheon to follow.
