Anita Hartsell Thomas, 58, passed away July 31, 2025. She was born August 10, 1966 to Donnie Hartsell and the late Bud Hartsell. Anita could often be found working in her garden. She loved palm trees, watching hummingbirds and cross stitching. Additionally, she loved spending time at the beach. Anita was loved by so many and will be remembered for the love she showed to others.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

Services will be held from the graveside at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Clarks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 705 NC-200, Stanfield, NC 28163.

In addition to her father, Anita is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Wilson Thomas.

Anita is survived by her significant other, David Ashley; her children, Wayne Mullis, Amanda Moore, and Sam Mullis (Amber); grandchildren, Dixie Mullis, Lacey Mullis, Breley Mullis, and Jaxon Moore; mother, Donnie Hartsell, sisters, Jeannine Hill (Ricky), and Sandra Hartsell; and numerous other family members and friends.
